Re: Chromebooks; Google Drive and Gmail
We've turned all of our FHC computers to Chrome OS Flex. There is guest access only. When a session is complete, everything is deleted. This keeps the missionaries from messing up the computer.

Amen! We also put passwords on each BIOS so nobody can boot to a USB flash drive or make any other changes.phruby wrote: Sat Jan 24, 2026 12:21 pm We've turned all of our FHC computers to Chrome OS Flex. I completely understand about missionaries accessing church computers. We've had issues with customizations they've made to the Patron account. I'm not absolutlely sure that they didn't have the FSC password but I'm suspicious about some things I found.drepouille wrote: Sun Jan 25, 2026 12:28 pmAmen! We had issues with the switch to expiring clerk passwords. Clerks have not consistently shared the password with tech specialists and the stake clerk as requested. Changing the BIOS password is probably okay as long as you're not the only one with the password and it's documented in a place known within your circle.
