Is the CDOL website security broken? (https://cdol.lds.org/cdol/security/login.jsf)
I am the clerk in our branch, and I have often used CDOL to find contact information when our Branch president has needed to contact/email other Bishops. The last time I did this was last month.
But today, the CDOL website won't load on any of my computers in Windows 10 and Windows 7, in either Firefox or Chrome. The browsers report an error that a secure connection could not be established.
Firefox explains this error like this:
Secure connection cannot be established
When a website that requires a secure (HTTPS) connection tries to secure communication with your computer, Firefox cross-checks this attempt to make sure that the website certificate and the connection method are actually secure. If Firefox cannot establish a secure connection, it will display a Secure Connection Failed or Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue error page.
Is anyone else having this same issue?

CDOL is no longer publicly available. There is a solution coming in Leader and Clerk Resources for local leaders. I don't know a firm release date yet, but it is close.

LCR has a link to CDOL in the Applications menu. That seems like a good place to remove the old CDOL from in the mean time, or to put a message indicating that it is not available.
What do we as clerks and unit leaders do in the mean time to get the information that we need? For our unit, this information is needed to Minister to the needs of those we are responsible for.

The LCR team will get that link updated when they get a chance.
If you need the bishop of another ward, your best bet right now is probably to use the meetinghouse locator.

Will be interesting to see what functionality changes, is added, or is lost. I have found multiple times that a Bishop would not respond, so I have reached out to one/both of the counselors via info only available in CDOL.
Another place which will require updating is the popup one sees when looking at the "Prior Unit" in a member's records. Clicking the "Prior Unit" name brings up a popup with that info, and a nice button stating "View in CDOL". We'll see if that gets fixed when the Applications menu is updated

The Prior Unit popup is still working for our ward, at least for now.BrianEdwards wrote: Wed Apr 06, 2022 3:43 pm Will be interesting to see what functionality changes, is added, or is lost. Re: CDOL website security broken?
There are links to CDOL in a number of places in LCR.
Another is in the Unit Settings, where you can set your meeting times. In the Unit Information section, your unit name and your parent unit name, are links that bring up a popup overlay with unit information, and a big button named "View in CDOL", that goes to CDOL.
I was hoping that I could correct our unit address either here (in LCR) or in CDOL, because the Meetinghouse Locator shows our unit at the right address, but the wrong map location, about 3 blocks west and 4 blocks north of where we really are.
This does not seem to be possible in LCR, but maybe that is available in CDOL, or in its replacement.

It is also possible that your map location may have to be corrected by the FM office, not sure though.
Just tried the CDOL links you referenced in unit settings. They don't work now either.
