Fix Record Association Loop

Fix Record Association Loop
I have two recent converts trying to login to the Tools App on their phone. They can successfully login via the website so I know their records have been setup properly. However, when they put in their user name and PW into Tools App, they get a pop up box saying "Fix Record Association....Your membership record number needs to be connected with this Church Account. When I click the "Visit Church Account" button I'm taken to a screen where I can add their church record number and some other data. But when I hit save, it just spins and never returns. I'm now stuck in this loop on the iPhone where I can't get them past this process. I have tried deleting the app and restarting the phone but it didn't help clear anything out. Help

Not necessarily. A nonmember can have an account and log into the church website. Can they get to Ward Directory and Map on the website? You might try opening a incognito/private session on the desktop and go to account.churchofjesuschrist.org and try inputting the record number that way.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

I am having the same issue,
Tried signing into tools and a get a screen "Fix Record Association" "Your membership record number needs to be connected with this church account"
I logged into the website using incognito browser but the website does not have a "link record number to tools" option.
Please help

The place to check whether your membership record number (MRN) is recorded in your Church Account is at the Church Account web page. Or sign onto the Church website, click your thumbnail image (place holder head and shoulder icon if your account has no personal image), and click Account Settings. At the bottom of the Profile page is the Membership Record Number (MRN) section.
