Officers Sustained form does not reflect the passing of Elder Holland

Our ward conference is this Sunday, and the officers' sustained form has not been updated to reflect Elder Holland's passing. What is the protocol in this instance?

I've been in a ward conference where a new Bishopric was sustained, and then the general sustaining of church leaders was done. In that case, the form was manually marked beforehand to reflect what would be the appropriate callings when they were presented to the congregation.

But of course with Elder Holland's passing, it's not just his name being removed, but also the domino effect of the President & Acting President callings. I couldn't find anything official that Elder Uchtdorf has been set apart as the Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve, of for that matter that President Eyring has been set apart as President of the Quorum of the Twelve. Perhaps it's somewhere on the Church website or newsroom, but it didn't pop up for me during a quick search. Another Forum member will probably point it out

I couldn't find anything official that Elder Uchtdorf has been set apart as the Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve, of for that matter that President Eyring has been set apart as President of the Quorum of the Twelve. Perhaps it's somewhere on the Church website or newsroom, but it didn't pop up for me during a quick search. Another Forum member will probably point it out

You did not find it because it probably has not yet happened. When it does, I am certain there will be an official announcement within a day. It is likely the change will happen at the Thursday morning meeting of the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles in the temple. If it does, the announcement would probably be made on Friday.

Even if all that happens, I am not sure the Sustaining of Officers form will be updated in time for a Sunday ward or stake conference. But under the direction of your stake president, it would be proper to make pen and ink changes to the form so that the correct information is presented.

And if a change is not announced by Sunday, I would omit anything about the Quorum president (or acting president once again), and just start with "The following as members of the Quorum of the Twelve", or however it is worded now. (I am working from memory here.) There will only be 11 names, unless, of course, a new apostle is also announced this week.

Finally, if your stake president tells you to do something else, do what he tells you to do.

I commend you for working on the form in advance. I cannot tell you how many times I was handed the form just as the meeting was starting, or even during the opening hymn. It never went well when that happened.
