Hope do I remove a boundary exception?

Post by mcallaghan »

I’m our stake clerk. One of our wards recently had a member move in, but she has a current boundary exception approval from 2022 to attend a ward in another state. I don’t see a way to remove it. Her record is in the ward, so this feels like it’s just housekeeping. Is this something I can do?

I contacted the GSD about one of those a while back and after transferring me to the correct department, the department person basically said don't worry about it and they could not change it. We cannot fix it locally either. It remains to this day.

That feels right but it also feels like cleanup needs to happen. I opened a case from LCR to ask about it. If that actually bears fruit, I'll follow up here. Thanks!

It's possible it's left there in case they need to change wards again. They may not want to clear the permission until the member leaves the general area to minimize the risk they'll be back asking the First Presidency for another exception.
