Beta Directory: Last name starts with '

There seem to be issues if a last name starts with a punctuation character. In this case, suppose the last name is 'Alo.

• The directory shows an apostrophe and categorizes it under an apostrophe instead of a letter of the alphabet. I wonder if it should be grouped with A in this case?
• If you click on the quick index on the right that jumps you to areas of the alphabet, it does take you to ', but you also get an error message: "Sorry, We're Having Trouble We're sorry, our system is experiencing a problem. Please refresh the page and try again."

I wonder if this problem is specific to languages with the Roman alphabet, or if similar problems exist in other alphabets?
