Are all calendar admins equal...do they all have the same rights?
How do you add editors?

Re: General Calendar Administration
By in large, yes. There might be a possible exception for admins added by name rather than those automatically added because of the calling they hold. It's possible the "added" admins might not be able to add more admins.kenrudd wrote:Are all calendar admins equal...do they all have the same rights?
For an admin, gear icon > Manage Calendars > select calendar > "Add an Editor".kenrudd wrote:How do you add editors?
It is highly recommended that you add people by calling so the rights transfer automatically as people are released and new members are sustained to that calling.

Re: General Calendar Administration
Try again. The developers tried to roll out a calendar update today, but due to some problems, had to roll it back.
The only other thing it to make sure you are trying to add editors to the same unit level calendar as you have admin rights for. For example, a stake admin can't add editors to a ward calendar. Only stake calendars. It would require a ward level admin (bishopric) to add an editor to a ward calendar.

Where does this path go wrong?
gear icon > Manage Calendars > select calendar > "Add an Editor".

Re: General Calendar Administration
Hello I am presently serving as the elders quorum president in my ward. However, although I have access to most information and features, I cannot add activities/dates to the calendar. My 1st councillor (the former EQ Pres) does have access, but I have to ask him each time that I need to add events. I have talked with my ward clerk and the stake tech specialist, but they are not sure what to do? Your help would be much appreciated. Anson Bentley, Bridlington Ward, York England Stake.

Re: General Calendar Administration
Your ward Calendar administrators (typically bishopric members, ward clerk, assist ward clerk, and others added as administrators) should take a look at the list of editors for the calendar in question. It sounds like your 1st counselor was added as an editor by name rather than by calling when he was the EQ President. A Calendar administrator should add the EQ President calling to the list of editors for the calendar in question.ansonbentley wrote:Hello I am presently serving as the elders quorum president in my ward. Re: General Calendar Administration
Whenever possible, calendar rights should be done "by calling" rather then by name. That way editing rights automatically flow as callings change.
