Quite a few times I have wanted to open the app in a situation where I don’t have data or WiFi and it will not open until I have access. If I am in an airplane or in a foreign country this is extremely inconvenient. It should work offline even if an update is needed or whatever it is that is causing this issue. Is there a fix for this? Also, in the Android app, data can no longer be stored on an SD card. Any chance that will change?

I'm not sure about the SD card problem; I don't use those with my phone. As for Gospel Library not working offline, I have the same problem. Not sure why it happens, but hopefully that will be fixed in an update sooner or later.
In the meantime though, putting the phone into airplane mode just to open the app and navigate to what I am reading works for me. After that I can turn airplane mode off and the app seems to work just fine.
