Changing pictures on Ward Directory

In the past, I, as a Financial Clerk, was able to "OK" pictures for the Ward Directory. Have I lost that ability with the 'new' directory? My daughter and son-in-law are trying to update the pictures of their family, and since our WC isn't doing it, I was hoping that I could get it done. Any help or info?

Only those in callings with membership edit permissions can approve images. The clerks with those permissions are ward clerk, assistant ward clerk, and assistant ward clerk - membership.

So, since they put "-Finance" in my calling, I can't do it, but if the delete that word, I can?

It is not as simple as that, but essentially yes. Since you were called and set apart as an assistant ward clerk - finance then your bishop would have to get stake permission to change your calling if his intent was for you to have membership responsibilities included with your finance responsibilities.

As far as I'm aware, "assistant ward clerk" has the same rights as "assistant ward clerk - finance" and "assistant ward clerk - membership" together.

But I can't help wondering if that's really true. I wouldn't rule out the possibility you'd lose something in the process.

It is true. But as jdlessley so correctly reminds us, these are stake callings. And the stake presidency needs to approve them.
