The Blessings of Webcast

Post by spencerto »

What has your experience been and what miracles have you seen?

I know we often come here to talk about how to magnify our callings, and get the ins and outs of how to carry webcasts to our members, but I wanted to start a thread to discuss the rich blessings we have received by using the Meetinghouse Webcast system in our Stake. The pandemic has been a downer, for sure, forcing us to do things differently but using webcasting for our members has been a silver lining on the pandemic dark cloud. We have received so much positive feedback from our members and how grateful they are to feel connected in a disconnected time. We have seen people who haven't been to church in years tune-in faithfully each week. We have received gratitude from older members who are hearing impaired who proclaimed "This is the first time I have been able to hear speakers in many years".

Our Bishop's have been grateful to receive lists of attendees by name for each sacrament meeting to see who is tuning in. We have seen miracles and blessings.

I am grateful for the Church's investment in Meetinghouse Webcast and the continual improvements the team has made to the system during this crazy time. I know that it can seem like a lot of expense and we should always be conscious of "the Widow's Mite" but when I look at the positive impact the system has made on our members I have to ask myself what is "The Worth of a Soul?" Our stake invested in some equipment to make the experience great which amounted to about $2-$3 per person in the stake. I have to believe that a soul is worth that much, don't you agree?

What has been your experience and what miracles have you seen?
