The last couple of weeks we experienced difficulties processing finances via LCR. It is extremely slow, keeps kicking us out, and periodically generates permission issues (even though we have already logged in successfully and permissions are correctly set up). I originally thought the issue was wifi but connection to other external sites and a speed test were fine. The issue has happened the last two Sundays around noon Mountain Time and are so bad that LCR was completely unusable. It has been working fine for us during weeknights. Where these issues happened the last two Sundays at about the same time, I am wondering whether the servers could be having load issues.
Have others experienced similar problems using LCR on Sundays? Suggestions?
(I have already reached out to our ward and stake technology specialists and am awaiting a response from GSC).

Yes, there are often server issues on Sunday's. Our ward has had to use MLS for deposits as we don't have all day to wait for LCR. A suggestion, you mentioned wifi, the clerk computers should be hard wired, at least that is the standard here. Gives you priority on the connection and probably on the church server too and is also more secure.

Re: LCR Load Issues?
There have been some issues on recent Sundays, but it is important to understand that the environment is much more complex than "the servers ... having load issues." There are multiple systems and hundreds of servers all interacting together to make this all work and a problem in just one system can potentially cause a major issue.
The managers and developers are also users, so they are experiencing the same issues and anxious to get them resolved.

Re: LCR Load Issues?
We are seeing this problem worse now (April 17 2022( than ever before. We can't connect to the church finance system at all for the past few weeks, so we can't make our deposits on Sunday. This forces us to violate the instructions to not carry the donations home or to leave them at the church. We have to come back in the evening to make the deposit.
Is this just us, or is anyone else seeing these connection problems?

Re: LCR Load Issues?
We have been seeing the same issue week after week.
I don't mean to be a pain in the rear here, but what does the Church expect from bishoprics that have to sit there waiting to donate tithing because the servers don't respond?
The Church has about 31,000 units, which mean that only about 15,500 are using it at any given time. This has to be comparable to any of the other servers (like KSL or the Church's homepage).
I hate to ask it, but can't we afford better servers?

Re: LCR Load Issues?
As was mentioned just a few posts ago in this topic and has been expressed in other topics as well, the problem is not the number or quality of servers. I am certain if that were the solution the problem would have been solved a long time ago.
I have no insight other than what I read here and invent from between the lines. Personally, I believe the challenge is bigger than any of us understand, and that those responsible are doing the best they are able to keep things under control and operating.
This is just my own personal opinion, and it does not make me feel any better as I wait for servers to respond on Sunday. It does give me the ability to dig up a little more patience when I really need it, which is much more often than I would wish.

Re: LCR Load Issues?
I usually haven't had problems with LCR on Sundays, but this morning I'm getting this
Proxy Error
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request
Reason: Error reading from remote server

And interestingly enough (for me at least), LCR Finance is working even though LCR is not! Normally it's the other way around...
