Using Stake Mission Funds for Reimbursement?

Post by Mottzzz »

Is it possible to reimburse a receipt from a stake mission fund?
I was given a receipt for shipping a missionary's bike between two state-side missions and told to use stake mission funds. However, I can't see the stake mission fund account pop up in Expenses and when I go to Transfers, the only options are Transfer Out Of Unit and the same account.

From Missionary Finances:
The service-related expenses of the missionaries listed under the previous headings are covered through contributions; however, additional expenses are paid with personal funds. These expenses include clothing purchases and repairs, bicycle purchases and repairs, medical costs not paid by the mission, and approved telephone calls home.
I'd imagine that shipping a bicycle falls into the same category as "bicycle purchases and repairs".

Additional direction can be found in General Handbook 24.3.4.1

I suspect you can't expense anything from the mission fund.
