User Permissions Bug gives temple recommend permissions to finance clerk

I have a situation where I'm both the Ward Clerk and the Second Counselor. This causes an interesting bug where I log out, then the finance clerk logs in and has access to all of my permissions as second counselor.

1. Log in with an account with both Ward Clerk and Second Counselor permissions
2. Go to Finance tab
3. Fill out weekly donations
4. When prompted to sign out and have the second approver sign in, sign out
5. Have a finance clerk sign in
6. Finance Clerk will see the second counselor's information in the body of the page, and will have access to all second counselor permissions (such as temple recommends)

When the finance clerk navigates to the finance tab, he will see his own permissions.

I suspect cookie mismanagement. Clear cache and cookies when you sign out and see if that solves it.

I'd use the "feedback" link in LCR to report it. I'm sure they'd be very interested in fixing that.

As a second counselor, you should have the same permissions as the ward clerk. Since you have a finance clerk, is there a pressing reason to continue to have both callings? In the past while serving as second counselor, I also covered the ward clerk roles while we had an extended period of time filling and retaining the position of ward clerk. The position would be vacant sometimes for months at a time.

That is true for finance permissions. Counselors do not have the same, or rather all, permissions as the clerk for membership records and membership reports.

Good to know. Permissions have changed somewhat since the last time I had to perform double coverage ... as they seem to do on an almost monthly basis.
