Do the paper sacrament cups have chemical coating lining the inside of the cup?
There is a chemical taste so, my concern is that they may be lined with PFAS or another hydrophobic chemical that's carcinogenic.

I do not believe anyone in this user-to-user Tech Forum has inside info to answer your question. Another Forum post Plastic sacrament cups indicated that the paper cups were possibly bought by the Church from somewhere in Canada. But I would consider that second-hand information, and I'm not aware of the Church publishing any details about that. Perhaps other Forum members have additional insight.h68637 wrote: Tue Mar 04, 2025 2:37 pm Do the paper sacrament cups have chemical coating lining the inside of the cup?

If you're concerned, maybe you can see if your Bishop would allow you to use one of the silver cups that were used at one point and have it placed in the tray, much like is often done with gluten free bread for those with Celiac's Disease? Just make sure you retain the cup when it is brought to you rather than put it back (or leave instructions with the Aaronic Priesthood not to discard it when they clean up).h68637 wrote: Tue Mar 04, 2025 2:37 pm There is a chemical taste so, my concern is that they may be lined with PFAS or another hydrophobic chemical that's carcinogenic.
