Mission call and email assignment

A missionary candidates status currently says “This candidates mission call letter has been sent.” on the Missionary Recommendation System. No mission email address has been received by the candidate in their church registered Gmail account. Spam and junk folders have been checked. They are traveling abroad and do not have access to sms. My understanding and experience is that the missionary email address assignment should have happened Friday (today is Saturday) and a call should be expected to be available via a link sent to the missionary address on Tuesday. Is there something we are missing or has the schedule changed in some way?

When filling out the recommendation forms, was there an option to specify if you prefer receiving your mission call by text or email? It may be that it was sent via SMS.
