Re: windows 11
How old is the computer? Windows computers are to be replaced every 5 years. But it does depend on the STS and FM to be on top of things.
Some computers can't upgrade due to settings in CMOS. You'll need to check why you can't upgrade. If it's TPM, that's probably the issue. You'll have to go into CMOS/bios to enable it.

Correct. Most computers that are more than 7 years old cannot upgrade due to either a CPU that is too old, or no TPM 2.0 available. The computers in our FamilySearch Center are new enough to run Windows 11, but we find it easier to maintain ChromeOS Flex on them.

This does raise a question - is this clerk computers (which I assumed), or FamilySearch center computers? Nothing else is officially authorized.

Re: windows 11
I contacted already the FM for to replace the computer. The warning message said it could not upgrade due the settings in CMOS.
Thanks for your answers. I will let you know what will happen later.

Re: windows 11
Both Dell and Lenovo computer have a manufactured date on their tags. You might want to check that.
It sounds like your system can update to Windows 11 with an adjustment to the CMOS settings. It might take awhile for FM to get you a replacement if you qualify.
