Send a message errors with "add recipient"

I work as the Stake clerk for a YSA stake. Married with a family. My family remained in our home ward and a duplicate record was created for me in the YSA stake.

Until recently, I was able to send a message just to myself to verify formatting and content, then i would send it to the intended audience.

Now, As of a few weeks ago, if i choose myself, or any others in the stake with a similar situation, (meaning our official record is not in the stake, but in the stake via duplicate record) the system will error and tell me I need to add recipients, Even though i selected my name from the Stake Presidency selection list.

If I additionally add any other member of the stake, such as high council, the email will send just fine. although those setup with a duplicate record will never receive the message.

A standard "first-suggestion" is to try clearing the cookies related to the church domain. If you try the same process in a private browsing session, that will show if cookie-buildup is the underlying issue. Church websites notoriously have what appear to be "random" issues that don't make sense, but end up being resolved this way.

If that still doesn't work, you might be an edge case the developers aren't aware of. Then my suggestion would be to submit official Feedback using the "Feedback" link at the bottom of most Church webpages, which will get this to the Church's support team.
